These images are part of an upcoming book I have been researching for the past 6 years. Woven together with data, the book explores present day State and National DNR and Advanced Planning practices highlighting the gap in our medical and legal systems.
Because stories and the imagery they invoke often speak louder than words. These tattoos, their words, and the people who felt compelled to have them etched into their skin, are a kind of silent wake-up call. It is my deepest hope, their silent voices, have something to teach us all about
